Synthetic and performance fibers
Small elastane content added to a base fibre to provide stretch and recovery. The percentage changes the garment considerably.

Elastane is almost never used alone. It is blended in small percentages with cotton, polyester or nylon to add stretch and, more importantly, recovery: the ability to return to shape rather than bagging out at the knee or elbow.
The percentage is a design decision. Two to three percent gives comfort stretch in shirting and uniform polos. Twelve to twenty percent gives the compression and four way stretch expected in performance and swim product.
Properties
These describe how the material generally behaves. They are not universal facts, because the specific yarn, structure and finishing change every one of them.
Applications
A certification option is not a certification held. Any claim on a finished garment requires a certified supply chain and current transaction certificates for your specific order.
