When fabric is knitted specifically for a programme, the yarn decision comes first. Yarn count, spinning method and fibre quality determine surface appearance, pilling behaviour, print result and how the garment ages.
Yarn led development gives a brand real control over the finished product, and it raises the minimum quantity considerably. It suits repeat programmes rather than a first validation run.
Process
Each stage exists to resolve one question. Skipping a stage moves risk further down the line rather than removing it.
Count, spinning method, fibre and any blend ratio are defined.
Availability and minimum quantity are confirmed with the spinner.
A trial length is knitted and assessed before bulk commitment.
Yarn is released for bulk against the approved trial.

Minimum order quantity depends on material availability, colour count, construction, decoration and packaging. Projects can begin from approximately 50 pieces per style following technical review. Where a fabric has to be knitted or dyed specifically for a project, the practical minimum is set by the mill rather than by us, and we tell you that before you commit.
