Leather and coated materials
Animal hide for jackets and patches: how full grain, top grain and split leather differ, and what is agreed per hide before a leather style is sampled.
Leather is a natural hide, not a fabric, so it is specified differently. Instead of a yarn count and a gsm figure, a leather style is described by the type of hide, the grain layer used, the thickness and the finish. Full grain keeps the natural surface, top grain has the surface lightly corrected, and split leather comes from the layer beneath and is usually coated or embossed.
Because every hide varies in size, grain and shade, panels are matched across a garment and the usable area differs hide to hide. That affects cutting, cost and the look of the finished jacket, which is why a leather style is always sampled in the real hide before bulk.

Properties
These describe how the material generally behaves. They are not universal facts, because the specific yarn, structure and finishing change every one of them.
Ranges are typical. The exact specification is confirmed on your approved sample before production.
Applications
A certification option is not a certification held. Any claim on a finished garment requires a certified supply chain and current transaction certificates for your specific order.
